So why am I throwing all this out onto the web? Well, I've recently heard of a new writing exercise. It sounded like an interesting and creative way to spend a weekday night… and spew pent-up emotion.
The deal? Write a piece of fiction/non-fiction or poem/list (basically anything) with each sentence of your work starting with a letter of the alphabet, in sequential order. In the end you’ll be left with 26 sentences.
Confused yet? Hopefully you won't be after you read my entry. And maybe, just maybe, you'll want to make one of your own. If you do, feel free to add a link to your post in the comments - I'd love to read what you come up with!
Vows:
Always remember where you began even if you have to leave a bread-crumb trail all the way home.
Beauty is a state of mind - own it.
Crying should not occur behind closed doors - there are reasons for tears, explore them.
Dancing is feel-good medicine that should be performed as required.
Everything happens for a reason - believe in the greater good and fate.
Forgive but never forget.
Grow into the person you want to be, it doesn’t happen overnight.
Helpful advice should always be appreciated, even if it is not the kindest advice.
Intuition is a bitch but do listen to her - she’s usually right.
Jealousy is never pretty - recognize when you’ve lost and congratulate the winner no matter what she has won.
Keep the ‘little girl’ hopes, dreams, desires, and wishes alive.
Let the good guys finish first.
Make sure you cherish those everyday moments - what is here today may be gone tomorrow.
Never forget who you are and what you want.
Old-fashioned charm is, quite frankly, charming - keep it alive.
Please others but keep in mind that at the end of the day it is ‘Your’ life.
Question everything.
Remember that nothing is as simple as it appears.
Standards should not be lowered.
Trust is to be easily gained and broken, but not easily recuperated.
Uniqueness is a gift, screw the status-quo.
Volunteer as if your livelihood depended on it.
Work hard on everything you do in life and expect nothing in return.
XOXO should never be forgotten at the end of a card - everyone likes a little love now and then.
Yes, do stop to smell those roses.
Zigzag your way through life - it’s full of unexpected turns.
Ahh, the feel-good therapy of writing... I already feel better :)
Always remember where you began even if you have to leave a bread-crumb trail all the way home.

Thanks :) This writing exercise was so much fun - I'd love to read what you come up with, the Household Goddess.
